Ruth LAMBORN Obituary

Ruth Crossan Lamborn "Nana" Mrs. Ruth Lamborn, age 96 of Westminster Village, Dover, DE, formerly of Middletown, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, May 26, 2004, surrounded by her loving family. Nana was the oldest daughter born to the late Alfred V. and Florence W. Crossan. She worked side by side with her husband on the farm and sold eggs at the market on King St. in Wilmington. They owned and operated the Laundracenter in Newark. Ruth was also a member of the Farm Bureau for several years. Her husband, Clifford, died in 1969. She was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Esther, in 1934; son, Raymond, in 1997; and 2 sisters, Elsie Kelly and Freda Gray. She will be deeply missed by her daughter-in-law, Lois Everett and her husband, Tom, of Smyrna; her grandchildren, Linda Boulden and her husband, Arty, of Galena, MD, Gary Lamborn and his wife, Judy, of Smyrna, Rob Lamborn of Marydel and Christine Woodward and her husband, Woody; her sister, Evelyn Bowlesby of Hockessin; 11 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call from 6-8 pm on Saturday, May 29th, at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown. The funeral service will follow at 8 pm. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S.
